Wonder and Action: The Real Enemy

Quote:

“We all have one enemy. And that one enemy is Snow. He corrupts everyone and everything. He turns the best of us against each other.”― Katniss Everdeen, Mockingjay

Context:

If you’re a Hunger Games fan like me, I’m sure you’ve heard that quote. It’s one of the most popular lines in Hunger Games. And it doesn't just apply to the book.

This quote applies to our everyday lives, and can live as a daily reminder. This isn't about President Snow, like in the context of the quote, but it’s about the true enemy of this world; Satan.

Satan corrupts everything and everyone through sin.

He puts thoughts in our heads that shouldn’t be there. He tortures us spiritually.

We’re constantly fighting against him, but we’re fighting a battle God’s already won.

Satan is going to try to twist us, and make us believe in something other than God, but we have to stand strong. Satan knows the scriptures, and uses that against us. He molds and shapes it into something that sounds so much better, but in reality, what he’s saying isn’t true.

Satan will do anything in his power to turn us away from God, and towards himself.

But if you’re a believer in Christ, you don’t have to worry. Yes, Satan will still attack you, but you’ve already beat him if you stand firm in God’s Word.

It reminds me of the song, You’ve already Won by Shane & Shane.

I'm fighting a battle

You've already won

No matter what comes my way

You will overcome.

God has everything under control, He has already fought and won whatever battle you're facing.

No matter how hard Satan tries to twist and change God’s word, and tempt you like he tempted Jesus, (Matthew chapter 4) God’s won.

Fight the good fight. (1 Timothy 6:16)

God’s already won.

He’s defeated the real enemy.

Do not fear, for God has already taken care of the enemy. Find hope and your strength in Him alone.

Revelation 6:2 - "I looked up and saw a white horse standing there. Its rider carried a bow, and a crown was placed on his head. He rode out to win many battles and gain the victory."

Isaiah 35:4 - "Say to those with fateful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.”

Ephesians 6:12- "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."
