I’m going to admit it, I went into this book very nervous. This author has been hit-or-miss for me in the past, and the last book I’d read from her had been an epic miss. But I had hope that this would be better because I’d previously read and enjoyed another of her books in a similar vein to this one.
I can’t even begin to describe my relief when it turned out to be a really good book!! I will say, the start was a little bit slow, but after that, it was full of action and plot twists and suspense!! I absolutely loved this story, with all of its amazing characters, surprising plot twists, and engaging pros. But mostly, the characters. The family in this book are all beautiful people, and I absolutely loved reading about them, and how kind they were even to people who certainly did not extend that kindness back to them. I thought it was a wonderful reminder of how we are called to love others even if they are undeserving of our love. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who likes this kind of story!!
