Ever since I was little I always felt intrigued when reading through missionary stories. One of my favorites is Elisabeth Elliot. Her life story is full of incredible faith and perseverance. She went through so many hardships, including enduring the death of her husband from a violent tribe that she still wouldn't give up on sharing the hope of Christ and eventually leading many to the Lord.  Her faith only continued to grow through her trials. She was a great example of James 1:2-3.

 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
